These grants support women who hold a bachelor’s degree and are preparing to advance their careers, change careers, or re-enter the work force.
Special consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields. ASBMB’s science policy fellowship offers recently graduated Ph Ds exposure to a range of activities regarding science policy and congressional and government relations.
The fellowship is open to applicants in all fields of study. Recipients are selected for academic achievement and demonstrated commitment to women and girls.
Scholars engaged in science, engineering and math and researching gender issues are especially encouraged to apply. The overwhelming majority return to their home countries to become leaders in government, academia, community activism and the arts and science.
